Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Bridget is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who sees patients of all ages with a broad range of mental health concerns. Bridget has experience seeing kids, teens, and adults. She aims to treat patients with respect, empathy, and the most up-to-date scientific evidence for personalized treatment. Bridget has lived in Maryland her entire life and has always had a passion for wanting to help. She attended the University of Maryland at College Park to earn her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She then worked in the community mental health field for 15 years. Wanting to expand her knowledge from a more medical perspective, Bridget returned to college to obtain her Associate degree in Nursing from Marymount University. Bridget worked in high-risk obstetrics for about 5 years when she realized there was a huge need for mental health clinicians and that she could combine her love of nursing and psychiatry to fill this gap in services. She returned to school earning a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from the University of Maryland, then a Master of Science degree in Nursing from Maryville University of St. Louis. Her education and training is in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing across the lifespan. She has worked in-patient and out-patient psychiatry, and has experience working with patients of all ages with a variety of mental health disorders. Bridget is a life-long learner who loves to stay informed of cutting edge science in the field of psychiatry.
