Elizabeth Brandon is a Licensed Graduate Social Worker (LGSW) in the State of Maryland, and a nationally certified Dialectical Behavioral Therapist (DBT-C). She has experience supporting clients of all ages manage their symptoms, including Bipolar disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder, Depression, Anxiety and Mood Disorders. She utilizes a variety of evidence-based treatment options such as CBT, Mindfulness, and Psychotherapy to help clients regulate their emotions and tolerate distress in a nonjudgmental and compassionate manner.
Elizabeth has extensive experience using Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and is part of Congruent Counseling’s DBT team. The DBT model is present-focused and heavy on life skill acquisition. A DBT therapist’s primary role is to encourage the client to accept themselves wherever they currently are while working towards growth. This challenge is the foundation of DBT philosophy and is Elizabeth’s modality of choice.
Elizabeth Brandon works under the supervision of Amy Miller, LCSW-C.
