Mark Ridderhoff

Mark (he/his) Ridderhoff, LCSW-C is psychotherapist who believes patients are the first priority. Mark specializes in clinical practice with the LGBTQIA+ population, and has expertise with EMDR, Cognitive, Dialectic, Motivational, Psychodynamic, Narrative, Strength Based and Interpersonal therapeutic approaches. Mark has been recognized for his efforts by Mayor Scott in his re-establishment of Pflag Baltimore, where he is currently serving as President. Mark is a past participant in Baltimore City’s Office of LGBT Affairs, and subcommittee of Health and Human Services run under the last administration. Mark was also recognized and appointed by Governor Moore to serve as Commissioner on the Maryland Commission of LGBTQIA+ Affairs, where he is in his second term.

Mark completed his graduate degree at the University of Vermont and performed his clinical hours at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Mark has been providing clinical assessment and psychotherapy to the LGBTQIA+ community for the last decade, with further experience focusing on men’s struggles, wellness and a variety of clientele over the last 18 years.
Mark began advocacy work in the mid-90s through agency diversity committees. Mark has been expanding his practice to the local, and state level, adding assessment, leadership and advocacy for the LGBTQIA+ community to his existing skill set. Mark is a compassionate advocate and a vital force in fostering positive change within the community.
