Rachel is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-C) and has been working in the field of outpatient mental health for more than 10 years. Her career focuses on working with children, adolescents, families, and adults by using a variety of treatment modalities. Rachel believes that a strong therapeutic alliance is the basis for successful treatment and this starts during our first session. She meets the client where they are and tailors treatment to help the client meet their individual/family needs. Rachel has a treatment style that implements evidence-based and trauma-informed treatment models to help individuals and families cope with traumatic stress. She also has experience working with individuals and families who are dealing with everyday stress, life transitions, and mental health diagnoses such as anxiety and depression. She is certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and is trained to treat single and complex trauma exposures. She is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). She has experience using non-directive approaches such as play therapy and sand tray therapy. She also has over 10 years of experience providing mental health treatment to the Deaf and Hard of Hearing population. She has awareness and training in Deaf culture, American Sign Language (ASL) and working with certified ASL interpreters and Certified Deaf Interpreters (CDI)
